DEEP IMAGINATION - “Realm of the Raven”

DEEP IMAGINATION create a sea of emotions full of dark romantic melancholy with the single “Realm of the Raven”.

The title is a metaphor for the unmistakable new sound world of gothic, dark wave and ambient that Thorsten Sudler-Mainz has created with his solo project. Together with guitarist Achim von Raesfeld and singer Ann Kareen Mainz as guests, he takes the style of the album “The Children of the Moon” into new musical spheres.

An enormously soulful dark wave sound reminiscent of the early Dead Can Dance merges into a floydian and anthemic resolution. DEEP IMAGINATION feel at home in the 'Realm of the Raven' and don't want to leave it any time soon.

DEEP IMAGINATION have recently attracted a lot of attention with their videos. With videos that, like the music itself, are characterized by a gently romantic dark wave mood. With videos that convey the attitude of the artists to the outside world and serve the overall project like a fabulous and pictorial perfection.

The video “Realm of the Raven” continues what began with “Coming From the Cold” and is DEEP IMAGINATION's sixth video since 2021, created in collaboration with guitarist Achim von Raesfeld. The title is a metaphor for the unmistakable sound world of gothic, dark wave and ambient that Thorsten Sudler-Mainz has created with his solo project.

The scenes for “Realm of the Raven” were filmed on the island of La Gomera (Spain) and in the band's own Imagination Studio (Germany). The cinematic sequences that merge into one another in the video are used as a stylistic device for merging the artists with the musical soundscapes.
