DEEP IMAGINATION "Wings To Fly (single-version)"

With the current video "Wings To Fly (single-version)" Deep Imagination concludes a 3-year-long project, from which the album "Carefully Kept Secrets" was created.

The last of a total of 7 videos therefore also seems like an encore, in which the artists once again appear in front of the curtain and present themselves to their audience. Unlike in the previous videos, which are more about the visual background of the music, you can see Thorsten Sudler-Mainz, the head of Deep Imagination in "Wings To Fly (single-version)" on the keyboards, his wife Ann Kareen Mainz and the singer Oda Reiter on the microphone and not least the excellent musician Günter Kaufmann on the guitar. At least on the screen, this creates the impression of a live concert, in which one would have liked to be there.

Listening to the album, whose creation started in 2015, it is noticeable that despite the relatively long time, there is a clear consistency. What draws like a red thread through the almost one hour playing CD, is this soothing atmosphere, supported by the typical and unique for Deep Imagination sound design. The clever combination of synthetic sounds, somehow reminiscent of glass or crystal and sounding cool as ice, thawed out by the warmth of the spherical voice tracks and refined with solo instruments like guitar and saxophone, give each track the look of a carefully crafted soundtrack Menus from the star kitchen of electronic music.

And just as with a star menu, it's also with the album that you do not hear all the time, or even by the way, but you have to treat yourself and enjoy in peace. In a quiet hour with headphones in his favorite chair, it's like a short vacation after a long day. And despite the consistent basic structure of the title is not boring or predictable, but depending on the mood always new impressions and interpretations.

So the album "Carefully Kept Secrets" is a special kind of crossover, where different styles and influences almost lead to a new genre and Deep Imagination makes unmistakable.

As Thorsten Sudler-Mainz announced, he is already full of new ideas and creativity and will indefinitely retire creatively to his studio. So you may be curious, which new inspirations and visions lead to further musical highlights and set new accents. (Udo Herrmann)
